Corporate Social Responsibility

Our vision:

Nowadays, corporate social responsibility (CSR) goes far beyond the philanthropy of the past – donating money to good causes at the end of the financial year. Rather, it is an all-year-round responsibility that we accept to help improve the environment around us. This involves engagement with our local community. We recognise that our brand does not depend solely only on quality, price and uniqueness but also on how, cumulatively, we interact with our workforce, the community and the environment. We judge our results not just by what we do but also by outcomes: the difference we make to the world in which we live.

Our principles:

We acknowledge that we must integrate our business values and operations to meet the expectations of our stakeholders - including customers, employees, investors, suppliers, the community and the environment. Therefore:

  • We recognise that our social, economic and environmental responsibilities to these stakeholders are integral to our business. We aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through our actions and within our corporate policies.
  • We take seriously all feedback that we receive from our stakeholders and, where possible, maintain open dialogue to ensure that we fulfil the requirements outlined within this policy.
  • We will be open and honest in communicating our strategies, targets, performance and governance to our stakeholders.
  • The Managing Director is responsible for the implementation of this policy and will make the necessary resources available to realise our corporate responsibilities. The responsibility for our performance to this policy rests with all employees throughout the company.

Our strategy is to:

  • Encourage dialogue with local communities for mutual benefit.
  • Support and encourage our employees to help local community organisations and activities in our region.
  • Uphold the values of honesty, partnership and fairness in our relationships with stakeholders.
  • Encourage suppliers and contractors to adopt responsible business policies and practices for mutual benefit.
