"Providing excellent and innovative software solutions built upon Microsoft technologies allowing our customers to strive towards greater creativity, reliability and productivity"

James Boother

Managing Director

James is responsible for LSS’s day-to-day running and long term strategic planning.

Having graduated, in computer science, from the University of Hertfordshire in 2000, James became a software developer for QSA, software vendors specialising in the food manufacture and retail sectors. While at QSA, he became a technical project manager, developing and honing managerial skills which stood him in good stead when, in 2004, he helped to found Live Software Solutions (LSS).

He has helped LSS to achieve Microsoft Certified Partner status and has led major projects developing and delivering software for, among others, the insurance and publishing sectors. In addition, James is a devoted family man whose interests include squash, tennis and – as a spectator – Formula 1 motor racing.

Mike Goatly

Technical Director

Mike is responsible for the technical delivery of projects within LSS. He oversees all software development, consultancy, design and quality assurance (QA) activities.

Mike graduated with a first class honours degree in computer science from the University of Hertfordshire in 1998. He also holds the Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer qualification. Before helping to set up LSS, Mike worked as a lead developer. He has extensive experience in the creation and delivery of a wide variety of projects, from rich client applications and developer productivity tools through to international web applications - all using the latest Microsoft technologies.

Thomas Boother

Business Development Manager

Thomas is responsible for business development at LSS with further responsibility for compliance.

After graduating in politics from Leicester University in 2002, Thomas spent the next couple of years as a Formula Ford racing driver. A lack of secured sponsorship prompted him to turn his attention to further study – and he gained a graduate diploma in law and LPC from the College of Law in London. In September 2006, he joined LSS as business development manager, with further responsibility for compliance issues within the company.

Tom’s main hobby is ‘Ultra Trail Running’, which covers races and endurance events of over 30 miles. In 2007, he completed the North Face Ultra Trail Tour de Mont Blanc – an event which not only covers 102 miles (163km) but also involves the competitors in negotiating some 9,000 ‘vertical metres’ too.
